A Yellowstone Thursday

Here is just one of the many beautiful vistas on our drive over the mountains:

A waterfall in Yellowstone:

Old Faithful:

Look what we found! Rob named a mountain after me for our anniversary. He's so sweet! The sulphur hot mineral waterfall...truly an amazing sight. Sorry this photo is so small, I don't know why it uploaded that way. You really have to see this in person to get it. Really incredible.

Another pool of hot water...don't know if you can see it but there are bright oranges and turquoises and steam just continually comes off. We saw a dead butterfly in the water who must've gotten too close. :(

The wildlife we were privileged to see: BISON, literally this one was about 10 ft or less from us in our car. He was right on the side of the road. They are said to weigh 2000 lbs and run 30 mph...I am glad we are in our car. They have charged tourists here every year...so we left him alone. We even saw this bunny rabbit around the hot springs. Can you believe it? Awesome!

Here are some elk (one bull elk and the rest were females or babies) that ventured down to a grassy spot just next to the bathrooms...These big guys were also about 15 feet away...I was a bit nervous, feeling outnumbered and very close to the big guy's rack.
