Saturday in Whidbey Island

Saturday morning Rob got to try out his dream machine (thanks Adam!), the Rancilio Silvia, the best espresso machine for the money.
Our first stop was in Coupeville, a quaint little town on the water (as most towns here are...water is everywhere, it's awesome!). Here are some wild blackberries free for the picking. We ate a bunch, yum!!!

Here is the wharf in Coupeville, a very pretty spot. Today was a bit of a chilly day, but the clouds did roll out after lunchtime, and it turned into a beautifully brisk fall day.
Here we are at Deception Pass. This place is full of photographic spots...I took about 150 pictures today!!!Here's the driftwood on the beach at Deception Pass. Pretty big, right? It turns this really pretty white color after being on the beach awhile. Works well as a jungle gym too.

Rob showing off his skills....Here we are on top of Mount Erie, which overlooks part of the sound and islands and mountains in the distance. It's pretty high up.

The west is wonderful, so beautiful and relaxing. We finished the day at Deception Pass Cafe with some fresh-as-it-gets seafood. Thanks to God for eyesight and the ability to appreciate His beautiful creation! I'm loving it.
