Wednesday...3 years!!

Here are the Badlands of South Dakota...they pop up in the middle of all the prairie land, completely fascinating:

This is a close up just to show you what these huge mountains are made of...looks like dried mud, right? Not very sturdy, but they seem to have lasted a good bit so far. Rob at Wall Drug...not really worth going out of your way even though the millions of signs would tell you otherwise. Remember when you see that sign for 5 cent coffee that you get what you pay for.

We made it to Mount Rushmore just as the sun was setting. Beautiful, eh? This is the view from the road, as we were too stingy to pay $8 for parking. I rather liked this view.
