Saturday in LA

At my Aunt's suggestion, we stopped in Coalinga at Harris Ranch to sleep (in the parking lot of course). It was an amusing morning, we awoke at 6:30 to the sound of workmen and a forklift moving all around us and beeping...Rob peeked out of the van and saw that we had parked right where they had put a ton of hay bales that they were now moving...our van was covered with hay and we weren't sure if we would be blocked in or if it would be weird if we drove away, seeing as they wouldn't see anyone having gotten in the van, it might be strange to see it all of a sudden back out. We just laughed about it, and everything turned out fine. The coffee was great, but unfortunately they don't sell loaves of bread anymore, which had been highly recommended to us by my Aunt and Uncle.
We finished our drive to LA, making our first stop at Cesar and Helena's place. We all went to the beach with Cesar's friend Toby, who brought his jet-ski's. Here they are lowering them from the truck to the beach...it's a science for sure.
Cesar and Helena watching Rob in the water...
Here's my baby! He did great...
and boy did he learn fast!! Just kidding...this and the next picture are of Toby's back-flip:

Helena and me on the beach...it wasn't as hot as we would've liked, there was no suntanning today! But under our blankets we were toasty, and enjoyed great conversation and catching up.
Cesar and Helena have all kinds of things growing on their property...limes (shown here) and oranges and melons and avocados...
Here's Rob picking some avocados...

It was a great day.
