a Portland Tuesday

On Tuesday we drove to Holly's parents' house in Oregon City just outside of Portland. (For those who don't know Holly, she's a good friend who was in our single's care group at church here in MD until she moved last month back home to Oregon). We had a nice time chatting with her and her parents over yummy snacks at a table in their yard full of flowers and trees. Here's a small sample... We even ate apples from their tree, how cool!!! I gotta get me one of these...
Holly and her mom on the front porch...her dad had already left for work.
Holly and me!
We spent the rest of the afternoon in Portland, had lunch at a cute pizza shop, went to Powell's used book store (which had about a few million books for sale...lots of floors and sections. it's a whole experience!) and walked down by the waterfront. It was a very enjoyable day and it was great to hang out with Holly in her hometown. Thanks Holly for your hospitality and showing us around!
