Oh and by the way...

I got into the Clinical Nurse Leader program at Maryland! Yikes.

the BEACH

Last weekend we carried on a tradition from last year of getting up at 2:30 and driving to Rehoboth Beach for the day. We arrive for the sunrise (despite the haze that completely hides it), get a great parking spot (this time for free cuz the meter was broken!!), enjoy some dunkin' donuts coffee and breakfast on the beach, and savor the peace and quiet and cool morning air.

Around 9:00 however, the sun comes out, the heat is turned on, and we apply sunscreen. The people begin to pour in, and soon every single spot on the sand is taken pretty much for the rest of the day. We rent an umbrella for breaks from the sun, and the guys got in the ocean a few times. Corn dogs, Grotto's pizza, ...what could be better? It was a nice long day at the beach, we left for home around 6:30, after a full 12 hours on the sand.

Grandpa and Rob's BIG 30

I took a spontaneous trip down to Lexington at the end of May to visit my Grandpa in the hospital. We had some really special moments together over the few days that I was there, for which I was SO grateful!

Rob drove down to pick me up from Lexington and we left on his birthday and drove up to spend the night at a special place in VA picked out by his parents. We had a great time of relaxing and enjoying the picturesque grounds and nearby towns. PLUS...Rob's parents generously rented him a convertible for the weekend for his 30th...it made the whole weekend so special and so much fun!!

woo hoo! rob had fun driving the convertible this weekend!

the Grange family celebrated Rob's BIG 30 at the Tea Cellar, a relaxing afternoon with tea tastings and endless amazing desserts from the buffet

Rob is 30.

Mothers Day

Rob and I went to Lexington VA for Mothers Day to celebrate with my Mom and Grandmom. He hung out with my Dad while the girls went out for a wonderful lunch out. They gave roses to the Moms and us girls had a fun time of reminiscing...going around the table with "I remember..."...it was a special time filled with laughter and joy. I am definitely hugely grateful for my Mom and my Grandmom!!!
